Treasurer’s Report – ~$3000 in the account
Parkville announcement – The Foamers will be there. April 27th. Shawn and Heather said they’ll set up the Facebook for our group.
KC Nano Fest – May 18th – Over 300 brewers last year, and GTHoF will be there again this year. Hoping for a dozen or more Foamer beers on draft. Already have 2 kegs of Pineapple Cider
Zona Rosa will hopefully happen this year. Allegedly, they have the correct liquor liscnense this year.
Membership renewals are now being accepted. $20 for the annual membership.
Seth will be posting a new and updated website for the Foamers. Details to come.
Gerry and Matt Sauer are working on the design for new shirts.
February meeting is bring a friend meeting. Bring a friend to next month’s meeting. We’ll meet upstairs at Norsemen.
March will be share your Irish beer – stout, reds, Harp clones, etc.
St. Paddy’s float with Blind Tiger. We hope to have new t shirts ready to the event. We’ll look to get numbers of Foamers planning to join the float at the Feb mtg.

June – July – Summer party will be scheduled. Details will follow and a call for volunteers was made.
Gerry spoke about how all 5 breweries in Topeka signed on for the resilience IPA for the Camp Fire to support the fires in CA. Gerry brewed 5gal of the beer and proposed to the club to donate $200 to the cause. Jason Shaw seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Program: KS Brew Regulation – Phil Kradic – Lobbyist for Commercial Brewers in KS
Phil gave a talk on the basics of laws and regulations for brewing in the State of Kansas. A few of the highlights included the current state of affairs for homebrewers, an outlook on the agenda for 2019 laws governing liquor sales in the State, talked about the tiered distribution system in KS, and then took questions from the members.
April 1, 2019 – New laws go into effect for grocery stores and liquor stores for beer sales. Anyone with a 3.2 Alcohol by Weight license will be able to distribute 6.0ABW with the same taxing structure.
